hasselhoff : album reviews

Los Callaberos Lanzan > Hasselhoff

The hot new album from Los Caballeros Lanzan, featuring punk house pioneers Gary Money and Lee Cabinet. A suite of compositions exploring the true brotherhood of man and machine. For a price, you can hold in your hands the album many thought they would never live to see made. Emerging from a haze of excess, which saw two group members hospitalised and another incarcerated, we are proud to present a relentless vortex of uncompromising electro-mechanical grooves, rocket powered vehicles, love and companionship. A tribute to a champion, a man whose search for freedom ended the cold war.

I love crimefighter trance.

Hey there!

Why don't you guys get a proper job like garden maintenance or plumbing?

I am a cook and that is allright.

I saw this on the shelf in Wythenshawe library and was intrigued....

...I love this crimefighter trance music and this album is up there with kettlecup's "on the case" and lee cabinet's "jazzmag".

I love this album!! I love everything that Gary Money does because he is physically attractive just like a real pop star or Hasselhoff himself. Better now that the ugly members of the Corp. are sidelined.. I love Gary, therefore he is gay. X X X

I can't stand all this "remix" music. I just don't get it. Also my car stereo will not eject the disc just like the other reviewer when driving I can listen to only this record now! What a pain in the arse! Insert with caution.

I liked it, but my dad didn't, which was unfortunate, because the stereo in my car broke when I was driving my dad up from Southampton to York and all it would play was the Hasselhof cd. Ended up playing it too often though, cos of the broke stereo, which means I can't enjoy it properly anymore. Also, I had an argument with my dad on the trip, about the music. We were both really angry. So everytime I hear the album now, it makes me angry.

I was into these boys in the Firepower days so I expected the sort of lo-fi hi-tech electro-noise they were doing back then. Instead I get an exploration of love and companionship with a machine. I had heard about Money's golf album and Cabinet's attempt to record what he calls his 'serious' album, but nothing prepared me for this... what Money has called in a recent interview 'retro-future jazz-barbeque music'. However despite being what most be the most ludicrous concept album ever made, I just love it!
